The du Innovation Lab (i-lab) is a resource for any student at du interested in entrepreneurship and innovation. Our programming is designed to help students grow their ventures at any stage of development and covers a wide range of disciplines.

U5GIG’s Objectives

  • Play a key role in H.H initiative for Science, Technology & Innovation and Dubai Future Accelerators.
  • Participate in the standardization (3GPP/ITU) and generate essential IPR in the emerging 5G technology.
  • Establish a 5G and IoT innovation lab at DSO to prototype, test and validate early 5G and IoT use cases.
  • To establish and maintain close, productive collaborations with academic institutions, industry and the community.
  • To deliver innovative communications solutions in order to generate social and economic value.
  • To be on top of the state of the art technology and lead UAE communications technology innovation.
  • To develop the skills of UAE employees, UAE students and emirates nationals.
